چکیده
Photon diffractive dissociation, γp → Xp, has been studied at HERA with the ZEUS detector using ep interactions where the virtuality Q of the exchanged photon is smaller than 0.02 GeV. The squared four-momentum t exchanged at the proton vertex was determined in the range 0.073 < |t| < 0.40 GeV by measuring the scattered proton in the ZEUS Leading Proton Spectrometer. In the photon-proton centre-of-mass energy interval 176 < W < 225 GeV and for masses of the dissociated photon system 4 < MX < 32 GeV, the t distribution has an exponential shape, dN/d|t| ∝ exp (−b|t|), with a slope parameter b = 6.8± 0.9 (stat.) +1.2 −1.1 (syst.) GeV−2. DESY 97-238 November 1997 The ZEUS Collaboration J. Breitweg, M. Derrick, D. Krakauer, S. Magill, D. Mikunas, B. Musgrave, J. Repond, R. Stanek, R.L. Talaga, R. Yoshida, H. We study the diffractive production of high pt photons at HERA. We have implemented the process as a new hard sub-process in the HERWIG event generator in order to prepare the ground for a future measurement. PACS numbers: 12.38Cy, 13.60.Fz, 13.85.-t

We demonstrate that perturbative QCD allows one to calculate the absolute cross section of diffractive exclusive photoproduction at HERA in the DIS domain. Furthermore, we find that the imaginary part of the amplitude for the production of real photons is larger than the imaginary part of the corresponding DIS amplitude, leading to predictions of a significant counting rate for the current gene...

The differential cross section dσ/dt for elastic ρ photoproduction, γp → ρp (ρ → π+π−), has been measured in ep interactions at HERA. The squared four-momentum exchanged at the proton vertex, t, has been determined directly by measuring the momentum of the scattered proton using the ZEUS Leading Proton Spectrometer (LPS), a large scale system of silicon micro-strip detectors operating close to ...
متن کاملMeasurement of D∗± diffractive cross sections in photoproduction at HERA
The first measurement of D∗± meson diffractive photoproduction cross sections has been performed with the ZEUS detector at the HERA ep collider, using an integrated luminosity of 38 pb−1. The measurement has been performed for photon– proton center-of-mass energies in the range 130 < W < 280 GeV and photon virtualities Q2 < 1 GeV2. D∗± mesons have been reconstructed with p ∗ T > 2 GeV and −1.5 ...

In the framework of model motivated by perturbative calculations in QCD we estimate the differential and total cross sections for both the photoproduction of vector D *-mesons and their yield in deep inelastic scattering at the HERA collider. The offered model allows us to take into account higher twists over the transverse momentum of meson at p T ∼ m c and correctly to approach the dominance ...
